Ok, normally i would not be either the usual reader or person to be featured in Grazia. From my understanding, it’s a magazine aimed at females with an interest in fashion. Still, it’s nice to be asked for a guest DJ mix for Grazia Magazine and since i already knew the editor, i thought it would be pretty cool to bring them musically into my world for a bit.
Although 2020 has been a complete pile of shit when it comes to events and the electronic music scene, people around the world still want to listen to good music and have a good time but have also been locked in their homes for much of this crappy year.
We haven’t been able to travel, socialise or go to festivals. Forget Ibiza or planning trips. Netflix and Youtube won this round.
My thoughts on this guest mix were simple.
Picture the listener sitting in their garden or balcony as the sun was setting with a beer, a glass of wine or even sparkling water (like me) and just enjoying a chilled out moment. I wanted the music to match the vibe. Nothing heavy but something that complimented the ambiance.
I think i did that.
As a bonus, i also recorded the video of me making the mix as i was in the mood to do it at the time.
Here’s my guest mix for Grazia Magazine:
